  The Health Ministry projects two-digit Covid-19 cases by May, if the number of the coronavirus can be stabilised, coupled with the implementation Movement Control Order (MCO).

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said he expected the number of cases to drop after Jan 27, should there be no spike in infections

The Health Ministry projects two-digit Covid-19 cases by May, in line with the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO). This was announced by the Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, as the number of cases has dropped from its recent peaks.
 
     
 
 
     
  At the same time, the Minister of Health, Dato’ Sri Dr. Adham Baba announced that the Government’s vaccination programme will roll out on 26th February that will cover 12.8 million people. A budget of RM3 billion has been allocated for the programme and agreements have been signed with Pfizer, AstraZeneca and COVAX.

Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd, parent of Malaysia Airlines are in talks to implement a ‘health passport’ that can be the first step to ensuring the safe reopening of international travel. Discussions are also underway between airlines and aviation bodies and technology providers to facilitate seamless experience for travellers.
